Caleb Stine and The Brakemen reunite after a 7-year hiatus and record their most recent album, during the winter of 2015 at a converted barn studio in Townshend, VT. Michael Patrick O’Leary was able to tag along with Caleb Stine and the Brakemen through the intimate process of both the songwriting and the album recording. While this is a raw and honest look at this artistic process, it is really a story about art and the big questions that artists ask themselves. What happens when you step back and view music as a necessary vehicle of expression? A spiritual pursuit of truth? A tool to master communication within our culture, within a band, within ourselves?
